The Maine Prevention Certification Board (MPCB) is an independent body with representatives from across Maine’s prevention community. It is a member of the IC&RC. AdCare Educational Institute of Maine, Inc. serves as the corporate host of the MPCB.

MPCB members possess decades of experience in prevention (as well as the larger behavioral health spectrum) and represent a cross section of Maine’s prevention system. Coming from across the state, they represent programs focused on alcohol, tobacco and other drugs in community, school and post secondary education settings and from all levels: state substance abuse prevention programs, the public health system, the university system, school-based programs, and non-profit organizations that develop training and represent both prevention providers and professionals.
