In response to the COVID-19 pandemic that is affecting all of us right now, the Maine Prevention Certification Board (MPCB) has voted to offer case by case 90-day extensions on certification deadlines by request. Deadlines that fall between March 27th, 2020 and September 27th, 2020 are all covered under a 6 month extension. Deadlines September 28th, 2020 to present will be reviewed case by case. The MPCB will continue to accept requests for extensions until a consensus is reached that it is no longer necessary.
To submit a request for an extension, please email the MPCB Administrator at info@mainepreventioncertification.org with the following information at least 45 days prior to the deadline:
1: The reason for your request (reduced work hours, inability to obtain training hours, limited or frozen financial resources)
2: Documentation from your supervisor which confirms the reason for your request.
3: The estimated amount of time you will need in your extension.
